Photo Of The Day – Day 44

For today, I have a photo of the moon rising over the east shore of Fork Lake. Harvest moon I believe. The sun was almost set when the moon peaked up over the trees. I was standing on the dock watching the waterskiers and waiting for the moon to come up high enough.

For today I have a series of photos from Cave And Basin in Banff, Alberta. We went here on our recent vacation. I have to admit that going here was for me and me alone. I just had to see the birthplace of the Rocky Mountain National Parks.

For today I have a photo of some wild grass. I love the way this strain goes purple when it is ripe. It contrast well with the surrounding greens of the meadow. I took this while on a walk with my son out at the lake. I like to show him the beauty of the ordinary stuff we see all the time. I hope he grows up to appreciate it as an adult.

For today, I have something just for fun. Nothing fancy but fun for sure. My wife’s cousin Cam was fishing off the dock on the weekend and landed himself a nice pike. I like to take photos from different angles and the following two are good examples of that.

Photo Of The Day – Day 40

Well I’m back from my family vacation and back in the swing of things. I have lots of photos from our vacation and I’m anxious to share them. I’ll probably jump around a bit from our first week to our second week and back again. So let’s get started.

For Day 40 I have a photo of an old farm house long left to rot. I love these old buildings. I plan to take lots and lots of this kind of photography. This one is along a lake on hwy 866 by the old St. Lina road in Alberta if anyone knows where that is. We pass this one every time we go to the lake.

I had to go mid day for this trip. The weather was not the best on our second week. It was funny how high the grass was. I took my son, he’s 3 the grass was taller than him. I took some photos of the interior and will post some of them later.
