Dreams For A New Camera – The Canon 50D!!

Hello Everyone.

Today I have decided on the next camera I’m going to get. Canon’s replacement to the 40D is coming soon. The 50D. Oh, man, did it make me drool. 15.1 megapixels to start with. All the 40D features and more. You know what, I’ll just put the link right here – click me for the camera details – there ya go.

I will be puting away all my dimes and nickles for this one. There isn’t even any pricing for it yet but I’m guessing around $2000.00 canadian for it. That’s just a guess though. I’ll see how I’m doing next summer or fall and decide then. But, oh baby, that’s the one. Not just for the MPs but all those high end features. My little rebel xti is getting boring.

Photo Of The Day – Day 47

For today, I have another photo from the cold morning at the lake. I’ve been practicing some back lighting. I have here a photo of some reeds along the lake shore in siliouette against the rising sun.

46mm, ISO 100, f/16 for 1/100 sec.

And a cat tail in the same light.

45mm, ISO 100, f/16 for 1/100 sec.

I’m not sure which I like best. Both have their charm. If I had to choose, I think the shot with the cat tail in it. But, that’s still a tough call.

Photo Of The Day – Day 46

For today I have a shot that I took very early in the morning this past weekend. I had gotten up at 5:30am to go out and shoot the sunrise at the lake. The sun didn’t come up until after 6:30am and I had to wait for it to clear the cloud bank on the horizon.

It was cold, cold, cold! I had to hold my breath while taking the shots as my breath was clouding up the photos. I think the result was worth the wait and the cold. I took several shots using the cat tails along the shore to frame the rising sun. My favorite part of this photo is the flare around the sun. I like how it distorts the shape of the sun.

Photo Of The Day – Day 45

For day 45 I have a nice abstract of ripples in the lake at sunset. The sky was a great purplish shade.

250mm, ISO 400, f/5.6 for 1/100 sec.
